Membership

Membership of the club entitles you to play at the times of the day shown on the booking sheets posted in the club. The courts are shared with St. Edmunds School during the day, but at least one of the four courts will always be available for members. There are no additional fees as the membership fee covers all your playing costs.

Entrance to the club is by an electronically scanned card which must be displayed on the court door when you are playing. When the booking sheet is posted on Monday evening you may reserve one peak court (5.00pm - 9.20pm). The sheets are posted two weeks ahead of playing time and at the end of the week posted a further peak court may be booked if available. Other times can be booked at your convenience. Telephone bookings may be made during the bar opening times Monday to Friday 6.30pm - 10:30 pm.

There is a cancellation sheet to inform members of courts not required, however members failing to cancel a court when not intending to use it will be barred from booking on the next advance booking sheet. £5 may be paid as a fine to overcome the ban on booking a court on the advance booking sheet that week. A further offence will result in a two week ban on using the advance booking sheet.

These rules are intended to allow maximum availability of the courts to members.

Please complete the form and return it to the Membership Secretary (as detailed at the top of the application form), enclosing your fee. Please make your cheque payable to "Canterbury Squash Rackets Club".

Should you wish to have an introductory visit please contact the club on 01227-769102 between 7pm and 10pm on weekdays.
