Juniors

Junior sessions begin at 4pm on Sundays and finish at 7pm. The club boasts a number of professional coaches up to Class 2 level.

The Sunday sessions include games, skills sessions, internal ladder and both individual and internal team leagues. The coaches will also be supporting the new England Squash and Mini Squash award schemes.

Our philosophy is to give as many children the opportunity to play squash at any level. We currently have a number of juniors at county standard. We also encourage players to enter tournaments whenever possible.

As well as the internal leagues we have a handicap tournament, which runs from November to May, and an annual junior tournament towards the end of the season. Canterbury Squash Rackets Club is also hosting a junior graded tournament in April.

For many Years, a firm partnership with St Edmunds School has enabled the Squash club to go from strength to strength. Three of the courts are used in 'off peak' times by the school and in return the club benefits from advantageous lease conditions for the site owned by the school.

Both ladies and Gents squash teams compete each year in the major leagues and cup tournaments in Kent. A thriving junior section has weekly coaching / playing times together with Junior teams in competition with others from across Kent.

An active committee steers club activities in the best direction to enable the members to feel part of the club atmosphere and a private (non-profit making) membership club.
